ARNOT + HALEY, PLLC was born out of a vision to serve nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and individuals by meeting their need for legal counsel and services as they pursue their Christ-centered missions. Although the firm does not restrict its services, we understand that organizations who aggressively pursue the fulfillment of the Great Commission, for example, have needs that require experienced legal insight. Accomplishing strategic charitable-mission objectives, while taking into consideration the complexities of nonprofit, tax-exempt organization regulations, requires lawyers who may not be found on every Main Street.
We believe that legal knowledge and experience becomes “wise counsel” when lawyers share clients‘ perspectives, philosophies, and purposes. Our goal is to develop deep, long-term relationships with people and organizations in order to help them accomplish their strategic objectives. Our clients find that we offer responsive and professional service, expert insight, and personal investment in the causes they support.
Justin Arnot (licensed in North Carolina and Minnesota) and John Haley (licensed in North Carolina) have provided services and counsel to many organizations over the course of their combined 17+ years of practice. Both served for a number of years as in-house legal counsel for Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, giving them a breadth and depth of experience in accomplishing strategic objectives around the world.
In addition to understanding the needs of charitable organizations from a legal standpoint, we have the advantage of having served in various leadership roles for businesses and nonprofit organizations. This gives our clients the assurance that we truly understand what they are trying to accomplish strategically, while also keeping in mind their stewardship constraints.
