We just returned from Ottawa, Canada where we held our annual board meetings for ACCI. We left our kids at home with my brave friend Stephanie and flew out Friday morning just after we sent the boys off to school. Two short flights and we were picked up at the airport by Lauren Carrion (ACCI Canadian Director). We assembled Friday night at the One Way offices to eat together and spend the evening in prayer. Every ACCI project was highlighted and then prayed for. We were particularly blessed to have several missionaries in attendance which enabled us to pray for them in person. Saturday’s board meeting was a technological feat — it was the first time we have been able to conference over the computers with picture and sound feed. Our board members were very patient as we put it all together. We were able to meet “face to face” with members from Minnesota, Western Canada and South Carolina! During the meeting, John presented a Director’s Report which included an encouraging view of the last seven years of ACCI’s existence, a look at current projects, and goals for the future of ACCI.
John was offered the wonderful opportunity to preach at Chapel Ridge FM Church in Kanata on Sunday morning. He spoke about the dreams God places in our hearts and the importance of overcoming the fears that prevent us from realizing those dreams. At the end of the service several people were commissioned to the field for short-term missions with ACCI. Praise God for the way He is raising up workers and for allowing us to be a part of the Gospel going out to the world.
