John and his friends (Dan Gray, Justin Arnot and Jeff Whittle) have finally put the last piece in place for “Investing Your Talents” (IYT), a non-profit designed to provide funds and business expertise to non-American Christian ministries wanting to set up businesses that will support the work of the Gospel in their community. The idea of IYT came out of a mission trip to Guatemala where the guys observed that while there was manpower and vision, more funds were needed to serve the needs of the poor. The concept of Business-As-Mission reached further than simply providing North American sponsors. A business would mean jobs, long-term funding, local ownership and remove reliance on foreign on-going support.
